So what is Bio-Chemistry?

Biochemistry is a science which deals with the inside chemical pathways and how they are affecting the living organisms. It is a practical science that binds chemistry and biology. By using chemical techniques and knowledge, bio-chemists can solve biological problems by understanding them.
Biochemistry mainly focuses on processes that are happening at a molecular level. It focuses on what is happening within our cells, studying components like proteins, lipids and organelles. It looks at how cells contact with one another, for example during growth or fighting illness. Bio-chemists try to understand in what way structure of a molecule is related with its functioning, allowing them to predict how molecules will interact with one another
Biochemistry includes a wide range of scientific disciplines, microbiology, genetics, plant science, medicine and forensics. Due to its coverage, biochemistry is very important and improvements in this field of science over the past 100 years are wonderful. It is a very exciting time to be a part of this exciting area of science.
