A workshop on PRP in wound Management - STARS technique
This workshop is intended to introduce and orient the health care providers towards the management of Platelet Rich Plasma in wound management by STARS Technique. The Author has developed a clinical protocol “Sandeep’s Technique for Assisted Regeneration of Skin (STARS)” at their center. The technique utilizes the autologous Platelet-rich plasma as a monotherapy for the treatment of wounds including complex wounds such as diabetic ulcers, bed sores, acute ischaemic injuries, large wounds with necrosis, infections and exposed deeper tissues.
The results have been very promising ones as shown below:
The workshop has 3 sub talks/demonstrations:
It is a very simple technique which can be performed by all health care providers including
Nursing and primary care physicians.
